    OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

    Mitchell became the first PFL student-athlete to score three touchdowns in a game, leading Butler to a 41-13 victory against Taylor on Saturday. Mitchell carried the ball 12 times for 178 yards and three scores, setting this season’s PFL single-game high in yards and touchdowns through Week 2.  He had two touchdown runs of 60-plus yards on the day. Mitchell scored the game’s first two touchdowns, the second going for 60 yards, to put Butler in front 14-0. Then, midway through the third quarter, Mitchell broke through for a 63-yard touchdown run, extending the Bulldogs lead to 31-7.

    DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

    Davis filled in the box score in Stetson’s 38-28 victory against Webber International on Saturday. He had seven tackles (three solo), three tackles for loss, two sacks, and forced a fumble. One of Davis’ sacks was a strip-sack near the end of the first quarter that resulted in a loss of seven yards and a fumble that Stetson recovered, with the resulting Hatters' drive resulting in a touchdown and a 28-0 lead.

    SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

    Webster finished with 12 points, connecting on a pair of field goals, in Dayton’s 62-24 defeat of Central State (Ohio) on Saturday. After Central State cut the Flyers lead to 12 points with back-to-back touchdowns in the third quarter, Webster made both of his field goals. First was a 47-yarder to close the third quarter and then he hit a 37-yarder on the first drive of the fourth quarter to extend the lead and kickstart a 26-0 game-ending run. Webster also made all six of his PATs.
